After taking the first game in Neudorf on Monday,
Rhein Rockets defeated the Neudorf Posse 7-6 on Wednesday to take the league title for the second year in a row.

Rockets got out to an early 3-0 lead in top 1 courtesy a two run line drive from Terry Peppler before the Posse puts up 4 of their own to lead 4-3 as both teams were feeling a little nerves to start. Game settled down nicely after that and turned into a great defensive battle. Chris Baber hit a solo home run to put the Posse up 5-3 in bottom 3. Rhein then scored 2 to tie the game in the top of the 4th. Teams exchange runs in the fifth before Rhett Reeve hit a solo home run to give the Rockets a 7-6 lead in the top of 7. Terry Peppler retired Neudorf’s 9-1-2-3-4-5 batters in order in the bottom of the 6th and 7th to cement the victory. Excellent pitching and defense both ways. Bret Peppler at short stop for Rhein and Jared Werth at 2nd base for Neudorf were exceptional. Rhett Reeve named playoff MVP.
